Marcus Ulvne is the director of business development, Asia-Pacific for MIT Technology Review Insights, the custom publishing division of MIT Technology Review. He builds relationships with companies in the region to develop custom content about topics such as artificial intelligence, 5G networks, financial technology and smart cities.
Marcus joined MIT Technology Review in September 2017 after leading international commercial operations for a Swedish lighting brand. He spent two years working in business development for the Economist Intelligence Unit and has held sales roles at several companies dedicated to management consulting, events and media.
Marcus, who grew up in Sweden, has lived, studied and worked in Asia since 2010. Before moving to Singapore in 2018, Marcus spent four years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, two years in China and one in Taipei.
Marcus holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Kristianstad University in Sweden. He is fluent in Swedish and English and speaks Mandarin proficiently after studying the language in China at Chongqing University.
